Gotcha..!!

Hello, I am back again with some stupidity.
now for a while lets not talk about perticularly Burj Khalifa and finish this stupidity, now lets take all the skyscrapers under consideration. Going insane and talking rubbish is all fun for me :-p  and this is my worst stupidity of lifetime, till now, on internet. My next few lines may give shock to some of my friends but am gonna take that risk. Here are some calculations, don't worry guys not done by me found it on internet somewhere.

There's about 50 skyscrapers over 1000 ft (300 m). 'N'
The weight of the Empire State building is about 365 kilotons. 'M'
The radius of the earth is about 6371 km.
The difference of the moment of inertia due to raising that mass from the earth's surface to skyscraper height is N * M * (R2^2 - R1^2) = 50 * 4e8 * ((6e6+300)^2 - 6e6^2) ~ 7e19 kg-m2.
The moment of inertia of the earth is about 8.034e37 kg-m2.
Angular momentum is L = I * W and is conserved. Since it's proportional to the moment, we can look at the fractional change ~ 7e19 / 8e37 ~ 9e-19. Multiple that fraction by the length of the day, and we get 9e-19 * 24 * 60 * 60 ~ 8e-14 seconds. That's 8e-8 microseconds, or 80 femtoseconds.

WTF!!! I didn't understand a single line mentioned above.Honestly speaking I try t find out whether skyscrapers actually slows down the rotation of earth or not. But after banging my head into wall hoping that I can break that wall with my head, one thing I understand that 'who cares how much the length of the day is shortening or elongating.' Who wanna know that how many microsecond our day is longer or shorten. I am sick of all this, trying to find out about Earth which is of no use. Even I don't even understand the meaning of some of the symbols above in the calculations. LOL
One thing I forgot to mention, Each earthquake shortened the day by 2 microsecond and every year day gets 15 microseconds longer. Idk why this happens but telling you just for some ज्ञान.
Anyways this is over now but burj is still onn. And I am on halt.

The TALLest Day

Mission Impossible has always been famous for its extra ordinary action and marvelous story line. Recent release, apart from its tremendous action, got my attention due to the world’s  tallest structure, Burj Khalifa. It is the masterpiece of man made structures on the face of Earth. Simply Awesome.

Since we all studies about Moment of Inertia, or we can say Rotational Inertia, in our Science lectures, I would like to raise a query from that topic now. Did skyscrapers affect the Moment of Inertia of Earth’s rotation??
For those who don’t know what Moment of Inertia is, Here is the definition in simple words; it is the measure of the object’s resistance to change to its rotation. It also describes that how difficult it is to change its angular motion about a axis. Figure skaters who begin to spin with arm outstretched provide striking example. By pulling in their arms, they reduce their moment of inertia, causing them to spin faster. I think I made myself clear here. J

Since we are talking about Bruj Khalifa lets take this concept in context to rotation of earth. Do you think that rotation of Earth has been affected by Burj Khalifa or any other skyscraper?
How much the earth's rotation been slowed by skyscraper?? How much the length of the day has been increased or decreased?

!MPOSSIBLE effect

Hey guys, this is my first blog. Am into blogging now too. I dnt know how to start it but will try my level best.
Today, I saw MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: Ghost Protocol. That movie is awesome. I always have been a huge fan of Mission Impossible series n ofcourse of Tom Cruise. Agent Ethan Hunt is no less than James Bond and Jason bourne now, its always a delight to see a Movie like this. Tom Cruise did a great job n yeah our desi hero  ANIL KAPOOR also did a good cameo. His role was small but appreciable.

The action sequence of this movie was just awesome, every stunt was great but that sequence on BURJ KHALIFA, the tallest structure in the world (829.84m), draw my attention the most. The 160+ floors masterpiece of man work, the beautiful skyscraper that tooks 6 years to build n has world's fastest elevators too that moves with the speed of 64km/hr. I am not trying to be wikipedia but the fact that am thinking about is dat does this building or any other skyscaper effects the duration of day or effects the rotation of earth...!!!!
may be am soundin insane but i believe that it effects..!!!
Is it makin our days shorter or longer...!!!

Before finishing this i would like to throw some light on the fact that Agent Ethan Hunt is far better than James Bond n Jason Bourne because he is married n his wife is still alive... :)

n yeah will get to that Bruj thing n shorting of day soon.
Till then take care n keep commenting. :))
